About Anzali free zone
Anzali Free Commercial-Industrial Zone was established about 20 years ago according to Act of Iran free zone. This region has goals such as construction and development and providing public services, economic growth and development, attraction of domestic and foreign investment, create employment, production and export of goods, entry and active presence in regional and global markets, attraction of new technologies and transfer of knowledge to domestic production factors.
Surrounding Area of Anzali Free Zone is about 2300 hectares at the moment , with two large and strategic ports of Caspian and Anzali, two industrial estate with more than 164 production and export units and factories, unique markets and tourist places, access to sea, railway , road and airway to transit goods to allover of country and neighboring countries, and also being located in geopolitical position of this region and on way of international transport corridors, trade relations with ports of the Caspian Sea and Eurasian countries and being located in one of important tourism centers as only free zone in north of country, so that it has a special capacity to attract investors in commercial sectors and port services, industry, tourism and export and re-export of goods.
Anzali Free Zone as only free zone in southern part of Caspian Sea and economic hub of Iran with an area of 2300 hectares of land and 40 km shoreline is located in Gilan province which has launched its official activity since 2005.
