Caspian port is located in north-south corridor. This corridor establishes a transit line between countries of Northern Europe and Russia through Iran and the Caspian Sea to countries of Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf and South Asia. Caspian port is considered as one of new generation ports with modern technology and marine facility system and connection with its wide surrounding areas, it is able to provide warehousing services, processing and distribution of goods and products, creation and expansion of marine industries such as shipbuilding and other activities. The first phase of this port has officially started with the approval of official and authorized sea border for e exchange of goods, entry and exit of passengers and vehicles. Also, according to its plan, construction of Logistics Park and industrial estate in backyards caused this port is being considered as a new generation port. One of the most important advantages of this port will be lack of restrictions for development of port backyard and imminent connection to national railway to this port and also construction of Ro-Ro.
