The first export cargo was exported to Russia from Caspian port rail route
After operation of national plan that connect railway to Caspian port complex of this region has been transited and exported two cargo through railway of Caspian port complex of Anzali Free Zone Organization in direction to its missions for development of our country's international relations with members of Eurasian Economic Union and Caspian Sea in cooperation with customs, railways and shipping of Caspian Sea

After operation of national plan that connect railway to Caspian port complex of this region has been transited and exported two cargo through railway of Caspian port complex of Anzali Free Zone Organization in direction to its missions for development of our country's international relations with members of Eurasian Economic Union and Caspian Sea in cooperation with  customs, railways and shipping of Caspian Sea, said Mohammad Sajjad Siahkarzadeh, chairman of the board of directors and managing director of organization.

 

He mentioned that first transit shipments including urea transited from origin of Turkmenistan to Turkey and said: so far five stages of this transited cargo was carried about 1500 tons which there is capacity to increase up to  6000 tons per month for this cargo.

He pointed to plans of his organization to increase and diversify of products for export markets of our country , In this regard, for first time, has been exported 3500 tons of cement produced by one of domestic factories to Russia.

He stated that there is an export capacity up to 30,000 tons and we are increasing our export capacity, so due to available infrastructure capacity, there are various opportunities to increase and diversify export products and markets of our country in coastal areas of the Caspian Sea, Caucasus, Central Asia and Eurasia have been provided, and we invite all businessmen, domestic exporters and countries in this region to use third generation port complex capacity in the Caspian Sea.

Siahkarzadeh said: by completion of railway station and other necessary infrastructures to facilitate, accelerate and increase volume of transited goods, base for development of export, import and transit of goods will be created by this port complex.

It should be noted that Ro-Ro wharf of Caspian port complex, which is connecting point of national railway, is a three-purpose wharf to provide services to trucks, unload and load bulk carriers and general cargo ships, which coincides with official operation of Rasht-port railway has been officially placed in operation for providing services to combined transportation of our country and increase ability to play effective role in transit of international corridors.
