We had 27 thousand billion Tomans of investment requests in Anzali Free Zone last year which 6000 billion Tomans was domestic investment and 12 million dollars of foreign investment, said Mohammad Sajad Siahkarzadeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors and managing director of Anzali Free Zone Organization

He stated that, Anzali Free Zone has 5 villages and 2 industrial towns that consume less than 50 megawatts of electricity, we obtained permission to receive another 50 megawatts from the Ministry of Energy.

He pointed to connection of national railway to Caspian port, so that  operation of railway in Anzali Free Zone had very positive effects on transit, export and import.

The Chairman of Board of Directors and CEO of Anzali Free Zone Organization emphasized that we are planning a specialized international event in order to introduce North-South Corridor from Anzali Free Zone.

He pointed that Industrial estate No. 3, which is one of infrastructure projects of Anzali Free Zone in 50 hectares, that 37 hectares have been acquired and has been started construction of its infrastructure

We had 27 thousand billion tomans of investment demand in Anzali Free Zone, which were realized 6000 billion tomans of domestic investment and 12 million dollars of foreign investmen.

In fourth month of this year have been realized 6000 billion tomans of domestic investment and 8 million dollars of foreign investment, which shows a 120% increase in foreign investment and 350% increase in domestic investment compared to same period of last year.

Siahkarzadeh stated that this year's investment target is 20 percent, and clarified: Last year, Anzali Free Zone had 24 million dollars in foreign exports and 366 million dollars in domestic exports, and this year these numbers will be many times higher.
