in order to remove some obstacles and complete various parts and sections of national plan to connect railway Caspian Port Complex of Anzali Free Zone, Mustafa Taati Moghadam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of this organization held talks with Jabbar Ali Zakeri, Deputy Minister, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Iran Railways, reported Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Anzali Free Zone Organization.

In this meeting, which was attended by Abbas Khatibi, vice-deputy of construction and development of country railways, Ports and Airports, deputy directors and managers of Railway Company of country, organization's technical deputy of construction and managers of consulting and contractor companies, parties exchanged views on technical-engineering mechanisms for eliminating deficiencies and completing  remaining parts of rail transportation in  Anzali Free Zone in order to facilitate and accelerate processes of railway services to combined transport in North-South Corridor.

According to this report, he visited from railway of Caspian Port Complex that connect railway to various docks and need to build special railway station in the region; management of internal railway for final inspection  in order to come for an agreement between two  managing directors.

It should be noted that by completion of port and transportation infrastructure of the Caspian Port Complex, loading and unloading capacity of this port will increase to over 10 million tons per year, of which about 30% will be carried out by rail.

This issue becomes even more important when road transportation routes in Gilan has many weaknesses for transporting goods, so by completing  of this national plan  it will provide basis for accelerating transportation of domestic and transit goods and will create added value for transit of goods along North-South Corridor.
