Special emphasis on implementation of memorandum of understanding signed at eighth meeting of High Council of Cooperation between Turkey and Iran and establishment of cooperation process according to free and special economic zones laws were other topics of discussion by the Secretary of the High Council of Free Zones.
The delegations of two countries discussed potential for further cooperation between free and special economic zones and negotiated about joint projects and mechanisms to increase trade and investment between two countries.
The Turkish Ministry of Trade issued a statement regarding the meeting, which emphasized on firm determination of Iran and Turkey to develop their economic relations through trade and investment.
The ministry appreciated from visit of Reza Masroor and accompanying delegation from Turkey and announced that efforts will continue with firm determination to achieve trade volume of $30 billion set by presidents of Iran and the Turkey.
It is worth noting that Mohammad Hassan Habibollah, the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkey accompanied Reza Masroor in this meeting.
Visit from Istanbul Free Zone by presence of the Iranian Consul General in this city and meeting with Turkish businessmen and traders in order to attract foreign investment and increasing our country's exports to Turkey were major aim during Masrouz's trip to this country.
