In this meeting parties exchanged views on how to make their operation commercial and economic in Rasht international airport especially playing greater role in transit of international cargo and passenger; constructing new passenger and cargo terminals and converting this airport complex into regional aviation maintenance hub.

Expansion of the Sardar Jangal International Airport and put airport's investment plans in Anzali Free Zone investment packages were other agreement between managing directors of Anzali Free Zone Organization and Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company.

It is worth noting that since this fall, Rasht's Sardar Jangal International Airport has been added to Anzali Free Zone area, and has increased significantly ability of first free zone in north of country to play role in transit diplomacy and international transportation relations.
